Looking for an Imaginative Christmas Gift?
These work beautifully — even at the last minute!
Imagine what it would look like if you could…
help a farmer increase crop yields with training in sustainable techniques
equip a family to cook safely on a new stove
ensure a child can sleep without worrying about mosquito bites
give a young adult the chance to serve in another culture
enable a pastor to “scoot” into remote areas of their parish
offer a safe place for vulnerable LGBTQIA+ youth
accompany a migrant returning home with dignity and support
Through the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America’s ELCA Good Gifts Catalog, these imaginations become real for individuals, families, and communities across the world.
A Meaningful Way to Honor Loved Ones
The Christmas edition of the ELCA Good Gifts catalog is now available in the church narthex and online at elca.org/goodgifts. Inside, you’ll find more than 60 ways to honor someone you love by making a gift that changes lives.
When you give online, you can personalize free printed cards to be mailed directly to your loved ones or printed at home — including special-edition Christmas cards for select gifts.
Gifts That Fit Any Budget
Gifts range from $10 to $2,500, and represent real projects supported by ELCA ministries. When you give in honor of friends and family this Christmas, they receive a card — and you receive the joy of making the world a better place.
Giving That Reflects the Heart of Christ
Generosity through ELCA Good Gifts transforms lives in Jesus’ name. Because the ELCA helps people by first listening to their needs and their ideas, it has learned a vital truth:
Ending hunger means more than giving food — it means addressing the injustices that cause poverty in the first place.
This Christmas, you can help bring hope, stability, and possibility to people across the globe. What better gift could there be?

Every gift strengthens long-term, partnership-based ministries shaped by the needs identified by local congregations and companion churches around the globe. Your generosity supports:

How Your Gift Works
Your donation is used where it is most needed within the category you choose. For example, a gift listed as “vaccinations” may support broader health-care initiatives, increasing both flexibility and impact.
To keep administrative costs low and honor your generosity, ELCA Good Gifts does not track individual gifts to specific families or locations. Nearly 90% of your contribution supports programs directly, with a little over 10% used for administration and fundraising. Thanks to long-standing local partnerships around the world, the ELCA’s administrative costs are significantly lower than those of many organizations.
