Lutheran Church of the Foothills Staff

  • Pastor Naomi Hartman

    Senior Pastor

Pastor Naomi Hartman joined the Lutheran Church of the Foothills community in December 2021.  After receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Theology from Texas Lutheran University, Pastor Naomi went on to receive her Masters in Divinity from the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg.  She was ordained as a Pastor in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America on November 29, 2009, at her home church in Abilene, Texas.

For twelve years she served congregations in rural Nebraska and urban and suburban Maryland. Along with her husband, Rev. Greg Hartman, and their three children, Pastor Naomi is excited to participate in a congregation of faith that actively proclaims the inclusion of all God’s people in worship and fellowship.  She strongly advocates for Anti-Racism, Radical Hospitality and LGBTQIA+ inclusivity in our communities and, most importantly, in Christ’s church. She supports Extraordinary Lutheran Ministries and is a member of Proclaim, a professional community for LGBTQIA+ Lutheran ministry leaders.

Pastor Naomi invites you to join us for worship and fellowship at Lutheran Church of the Foothills. Come and feel the welcome and supportive love of these servants of God who are called to share God’s love with all people.

  • Chad Pittman

    Music Ministry Leader

Chad Pittman is a full-time musician—conductor, educator, and organist—who believes in the amazing transformational power of music. He is currently a DMA student in Choral Conducting at The University of Arizona.

Active as a guest conductor and clinician, he served as Director of Choral Activities and Associate Professor of Music at Yavapai College (AZ). In 2025, Chad was also featured as guest conductor at Carnegie Hall with Midamerica Productions, where he led the festival choir and professional soloists/instrumentalists in Bruckner’s F Minor Mass.

Mr. Pittman taught secondary choral music in schools for nearly a decade. His groups consistently earned top ratings/placements at adjudications/competitions/festivals, and were frequently called upon to collaborate with professional organizations and artists/ensembles.

An active church musician and performer, Chad Pittman is currently the Music Ministry Leader at Lutheran Church of the Foothills. Before his move to Arizona, he served as Director of Music and Organist for St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Massillon (OH).

Chad is co-founder of Two Men and a Bench — a traveling organ duo — with duet partner Mark Thewes. He is also active in the Paderewski Duo, a collaboration with violinist, Wanda Sobieska.

Chad holds a Master of Music in Choral Conducting from Michigan State University, a Master of Educational Administration from Cleveland State University, and a Bachelor of Music Education and Organ from the Baldwin Wallace University Conservatory of Music.

When not making music and collaborating with amazing folks, Chad Pittman enjoys traveling and is an excited and curious “foodie.” An animal lover, he frequently volunteers at local shelters and enjoys spending time with his cats and faithful, rambunctious Chiweenie (Chihuahua/Dachshund), Hank!
