Beyond the Book Returns in August!

Beyond the Book is taking a break during the months of June and July, but will return in August with another line-up of books to discuss.

The Beyond the Book discussion group meets every 2nd and 4th Monday of each month at 10:30a and 5:30p at Beyond Bread (corner of Speedway and Wilmot). You don’t need to attend Lutheran Church of the Foothills or even to have read the book to participate in the discussion. Come when you can!

Here’s a taste of what’s coming up in the fall:

  • The Wake Up: Closing the Gap Between Good Intentions and Real Change by Michelle MiJung Kim (winner of 2022 Nautilus Book Award, 2021 Porchlight Human Behavior & Personal Development Book of the Year, 2021 Porchlight Best Business Book finalist)

  • UnClobber: Rethinking Our Misuse of the Bible on Homosexuality (Expanded edition with Study Guide) by Colby Martin.

  • Living Resistance: An Indigenous Vision for Seeking Wholeness Every Day by Kaitlin B. Curtice

  • Drama-Free: A Guide to Managing Unhealthy Family Relationships by Nedra Glover-Tawwab (New York Times bestseller)
