September’s Beyond the Book Is Back to In-Person!
Beyond the Book returns to meeting IN PERSON for all sessions!
The Beyond the Book discussion group meets every 2nd and 4th Monday of the month at 10:30a and 5:30p at Beyond Bread (corner of Speedway and Wilmot). You don’t need to attend Lutheran Church of the Foothills or even to have read the book to participate in the discussion. Come when you can!
UnClobber: Rethinking Our Misuse of the Bible on Homosexuality (Expanded edition with Study Guide)
UnClobber reexamines what the Bible says (and does not say) about homosexuality in such a way that sheds divine light on outdated and inaccurate assumptions and interpretations. Join us on September 14 and 28 for a discussion on this author’s urgent call for us to love better and unconditionally. Copies of the book will be available at the church beginning August 30.
Here’s a taste of what’s coming up in the fall:
October: Living Resistance: An Indigenous Vision for Seeking Wholeness Every Day by Kaitlin B. Curtice
November: Drama-Free: A Guide to Managing Unhealthy Family Relationships by Nedra Glover-Tawwab (New York Times bestseller)
