Changes to Household Blessings: Collection Sunday, August 30

Household Blessings has some changes coming! This month, Anne & Harold Foster will be taking over the last Sunday of the month collections from Bethany Boyd as she transitions to seminary.

Thank you, Bethany, for all of your hard work in collecting and transferring donations to Household Blessings. Donna and the crew are very thankful for your hard work!

Also, September is the last month that collections for large items will be taken at the shed in the north parking lot at Tanque Verde Lutheran Church. Beginning in October, collections will be taken to the stage in the NFLC gym inside the church.

Household Blessings works with area ministry partners to supply new home starter kits—the necessary items to set up a home. Lutheran Church of the Foothills is a partner collection site for the items for these kits. Every last Sunday of the month immediately after the 10:00a service, good quality or gently used kitchen, bath, or bedroom items can be brought to Anne & Harold Foster’s car. Large items and furniture for Household Blessings will need to be picked up by volunteers or taken to Tanque Verde Lutheran Church, 8625 E. Tanque Verde Road.

Volunteers are needed to help with sorting in the mornings of the first Thursday of each month at Tanque Verde Lutheran Church. Please call ahead, as start times vary by season. If you have questions or items to donate, call Donna Elmquist at 520.603.2399 or email welmquist@msn.com
