We need your help — and your vision and wisdom:

How can we encourage more people to be involved in helping Lutheran Church of the Foothills meet God's call to engage with our neighbors in this place at this time?

What specific ministries will our congregation be involved in during the remainder of 2026?

Help shape the future of our congregation by sharing your insights in the survey and at the Organizing Meeting. At the meeting we will:

  1. Reveal the survey results and discuss what those results tell us about the kinds of ministries God has equipped Lutheran Church of the Foothills to do at this time and in this place.

  2. More thoroughly define the two ways our new Community Engagement Team will meet the needs of our neighbors:

    1. Engage with nearby neighbors by inviting them to events at our church for health, education, and community building, etc.

    2. Engage in service to our community neighbors through hands-on projects at our building and out in the community.

  3. Start organizing specific ministry activities for 2026:

    1. STAR Breakfast Bags – providing no-cook breakfast items in individual bags to be distributed at the STAR shelter site.

    2. Deepening Community Bonds – planning events to be held at our church to help our nearby neighbors learn we are a helpful and friendly congregation.

The former Community Service Team and Neighborhood Interaction Team have realigned into one Community Engagement Team so that our congregation’s gifts, resources, and ministries more faithfully meet God's call to serve our neighbors. This realignment is in response to a recommendation in the LEAD Program Report presented at our January 2025 Annual Congregational Meeting.

May the Holy Spirit guide us all as we shape our vision for ministry in the remainder of 2026 and beyond. Please participate by completing your Survey by March 1 and by attending the Organizing Meeting and dinner on March 3.
