Community Engagement Team Update
The Community Engagement Team will meet on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, to complete the definitions of the criteria we will use in selecting activities for the remainder of 2026. We will decide which organizations we will partner with and what kinds of engagements those partnerships might include. We will also plan one activity to take place before summer.
You are welcome to participate in this Planning Meeting from 5:30p to 7:00p on Tuesday, April 21, in the Activities Room or via Zoom. A light one-pot dinner will be served for those attending in person. Please let Pastor Naomi, Beth Daum, or Leslie Johnson know if you plan to attend so we can be sure you receive the agenda and Zoom link before the meeting.
The Community Engagement Team was formed after LCF Church Council, acting on milestones presented in the LEAD report, Intentional Visioning Plan 2025 and Beyond, asked the Community Service Team and Neighborhood Interaction Team to realign their shared mission as one team. Early in 2026, the new Team surveyed our congregation about how you envision Lutheran Church of the Foothills serving our neighbors. On March 3, 18 of you attended the Team’s organizing meeting, where we used your survey responses to help identify where our congregation’s interests and energy align with our neighbors’ needs. At our Planning Meeting on April 21, we will build on that work as we shape our partnerships and activities for the rest of 2026.
