Donate Blood Right Here: September 21
Help make our first partnership with an American Red Cross blood drive a success! Here are three easy ways to participate in this service activity:
Personally invite people to donate blood. Personal invitations work the best! Pick up some flyers at church and use them to invite your friends, neighbors, yoga class, golf partners, and barbers to give blood in our Activities Room on Monday, September 21, 2026, from 8:00a until 1:00p. We are providing a convenient location where our nearby neighbors in the Foothills area can save the lives of people throughout the Tucson area who are in need of blood.
Act on your passion and desire to serve in Christ’s name. Volunteer on September 21 to be a friendly host to our guests who come to give blood. Sign up on the Activities Counter for a two-hour shift to greet and register donors or to serve them homebaked treats after their appointment.
Be compassionate and generous to people in medical need. Make your appointment now by calling 1-800-733-2767 or going online to www.RedCrossBlood.org and in the small white box labeled "Zip/Sponsor Code" enter: LCF. Then tell others how easy it is to reserve a time to donate.
By helping to host this blood donation drive, you are fulfilling two of our congregation’s four core values: we are Grace-filled and we are Generous. This blood drive will also provide opportunities for our nearby community to become more aware of our congregation and see us as friendly, helpful neighbors who love radically and who care for those near and far.
