Here We Clean! A Reformation Service Challenge

Martin Luther had 95 theses, but we only have one: Love your neighbor! This October, we’re celebrating the Reformation by putting our faith into action and collecting Cleaning Supplies Neighbor Kits for Lutheran Social Services of the Southwest. Bring individual supplies, assemble a complete kit, or contribute to our Community Services Fund so we can shop for you.

One kit includes:

• kitchen/spray disinfectant

• dish soap

• sponges

• bathroom disinfectant

• toilet brush & cleaner

• Windex

• 2-3 washcloths or microfiber cloths

If you make a kit, please purchase at least one of each item on the list and place the items in a cleaning bucket or shopping bag. Bring your kits to the display in the church narthex by Sunday, October 25, or to Lutheran Social Services of the Southwest Tucson office, 3777 E. Broadway Blvd., Tucson, AZ, 85716. If you prefer to contribute monetarily, please make checks payable to “Lutheran Church of the Foothills” and note “Community Service” in the memo line. Place your donations in the offering basket or mail them to the church. You can also use your Thrivent Grant or donate online by using the QR code in the Sunday worship bulletin or the Giving page on our website. Finally, any loose cash placed in the offering basket is automatically designated for the current Community Service emphasis.
