Rooted in Grace: May Council Update
Greetings, beloved siblings in Christ!
As you arrive at church this Sunday, you will see some interesting developments. Due to a generous memorial donation, we are now able to complete some items on our bucket list, but not in the budget.
The first thing you may notice is the Tuff Shed to the north of the church building. This will allow us to clear out storage areas in the building and make them much more usable. The chair carts, table cart, and holiday decorations can now be stored in the shed, freeing up storage inside the church for other things. A huge shout-out to Barbara Warrilow for heading up this project! She went above and beyond, did a fabulous job, and the Council is so appreciative of all her hard work here at the church.
Another exciting addition will be the new alarm and keyless entry system on the back door! Future Council Updates will inform you on how to receive an access card and use the system. This is a great benefit to church security. The installation has already started and should be done in a few days.
Finally, shelving has been installed in the Activities Room closets to enable storage of items used for the Starr Village Breakfast Bags.
Once a month, I’ll be letting you know what new things are happening and what the Council is up to here in the Footnotes.
Blessings,
Bethany Boyd, Congregational President
