Evie’s Extras Team Raised Over $1,000 for SANDS!

What an amazing day we had at the 25th SANDS Walk for Down Syndrome!

We are so thankful and blessed to have so much love and support from our church family and friends! Near and far, everyone sent love and generous donations to help us exceed our goal for this year!

Evie’s Extras raised $1,141.00 for Southern Arizona Network for Down Syndrome (SANDS), and her team was in the top quarter of fundraising teams by amount raised! Most importantly, over a dozen of you joined Evie on the walk! Evie was so excited and had such a great time walking with all our friends!

We are so blessed by our church community, and feel so privileged that you all helped to support the Down syndrome community that is such a blessing to our family. Evelyn met lots of new friends Saturday, and reconnected with some old friends, and got to pet a lot of beautiful, wonderful therapy dogs! She also got her face painted with her sister, and did a lot of dancing!

During the SANDS Walk fundraising campaign, 94 teams raised a total of $120,410 of the $125,000 goal. You can still donate to help SANDS raise the remaining 4% by visiting www.sandsaz.org and clicking on “Donate” in the top right of their home page.

Thank you to each of you who supported Evie’s Extras with prayers for the SANDS organization and the families it serves, donating to Evie’s Extras fundraising team, and joining Evie in the walk and other fun and learning activities on Saturday, November 15. We would also like to thank the LCF Neighborhood Interaction Team for promoting this ministry opportunity.
