Thursday Journey: Stories in Genesis
Thursday Journey is a place for thoughtful conversation, faithful questioning, and lively discussion. The group will focus on the topic “Stories in Genesis,” an in-depth study led by Revs. Tim Swanson and Stewart McDonald. Why not join us at 10:00a to 11:30a each Thursday in the Activities Room (and online via Zoom upon request)?
Tim Swanson will explore the Genesis stories through the lens of ancient history, language, and culture, helping us understand the world in which these stories were formed. Stewart will then invite us to read these stories as theological parables rather than literal accounts, and to reflect on how they continue to shape faith, imagination, and our understanding of God today.
