Read & Yak Book Discussion: February 28, 12:00 noon

During February Read & Yak participants will be reading “The Four Winds” by Kristin Hannah—and we invite you to join us on Saturday, February 28, for a lively discussion led by Dean Lystad.

We’ll gather in person in the Activities Room and online via Zoom from 12:00p to 1:30p. Feel free to bring your lunch and enjoy some good conversation as we yak. Read & Yak is a welcoming space to share your thoughts and hear new perspectives. If you’ve never joined us before—or if it’s been a while—any month is a great month to jump in!

“The Four Winds” is an epic novel of love, courage, and hope, set against the backdrop of one of America’s most defining eras—the Great Depression. In a time marked by uncertainty and danger, Elsa Martinelli—like so many of her neighbors—must make an agonizing choice: fight for the land she loves or head west to California in search of a better life. This powerful story offers an indelible portrait of America and the American Dream, seen through the eyes of one indomitable woman whose courage and sacrifice come to define a generation.

To receive calendar reminders and discussion questions for upcoming Read & Yak gatherings, email Holly Hope at hollyhopeaz@gmail.com (please include “Yak” somewhere in the subject line).

Come in person or join us via Zoom: Click here to join the Zoom discussion.  Meeting ID: 822 7558 0676.  Passcode: 844657.

We hope to see you there!
