Thursday Journey: Schedule for May and Beyond
It’s not too late to join the Thursday Journey discussion and take a deep dive into the foundational stories of Genesis. This month, the group will focus on the Genesis chapter 6-8 Flood and Chapter 11 Tower of Babel narratives, part of the “Stories in Genesis 1 through 11” series led by Revs. Tim Swanson and Stewart McDonald. Thursday Journey meets at 10:00a to 11:30a each Thursday in the Activities Room (and online via Zoom upon request).
Tim Swanson explores the Genesis stories through the lens of ancient history, language, and culture, helping us understand the world in which these stories were formed. Stewart invites us to read these stories as theological rather than literal accounts, and to reflect on how they continue to shape faith, imagination, and our understanding of God today.

May 21 - Genesis Tower of Babel (led by Rev. Tim Swanson)
May 28 - Genesis Tower of Babel (led by Rev. Stewart McDonald)
In June, the group will meet informally under the name “Coffee Talk” at Bruegger’s Bagels, 5665 North Swan Road, Tucson, and discuss current events. The “Stories in Genesis” series will resume in the fall.
