You are Invited to Join Growing in Faith Diakonia
Growing in Faith Diakonia, a ministry program within the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) and a Mission and Ministry Partner of the Grand Canyon Synod, is committed to fostering learning environments for Jesus‘ followers and growing them in their faith.
You are invited to join a new cohort for the Growing in Faith/Diakonia program this February. Participants gather for six 5-week classes over Zoom. Each class is about 3 hours and involves a combination of instruction, discussion, and experiential learning. Homework assignments are based on the subject matter.
Begin with the Foundation Year, then decide if you would like to stretch yourself through a Practical Year. Post-graduate learning opportunities are also available for program alumni. There is a one-time application fee of $25.00. Each course is $70. Financial aid is available.
A graduate fellowship event will be held Saturday, January 24, at Dove of Peace Lutheran Church, Tucson from 10:00a to 2:00p. This event provides alumni a chance to interact and those who are curious a chance to hear from graduates and instructors the positive influence Diakonia can have on the spiritual lives of lay people.
